About Stephanie Philp
Hi, I’m Stephanie Philp.
I’m on a mission to encourage and assist you to access more of your inner genius
I believe passionate and authentic people change the world in positive ways – just by being themselves. I want to support you to fully live your passion and then to share who you are with the world.
Everyone has tremendous depths of infinite potential and the world needs you and what you have to offer – NOW! You can be, do and have anything you want so long as you know what you want and you’re prepared to do the work required to achieve your dreams. I’m here to help you find what you want, guide you to all you can be and find the courage to do anything you desire!
And who am I to make such bold and brazen claims?
I’m a trainer, coach and mentor who writes, speaks and tells terrible jokes. I’m also the Head Consultant and Director at MetaMorphosis Ltd. I coach and train people who want to step out of tick-tock and find their magical place in the world – and then live there.
I left the corporate world about 450 years ago
I’d reached the dizzy heights of Corporate Services Manager where human resources (people), logistics, health, safety and – seemingly – cheering up people were all under my control. But, as the role was forcibly developed into one with little people contact (I know – unbelievable!) I decided to move on. I’ve never really been a follower – so I started my own training, coaching and development business in 1994.
I’ve trained and become qualified in many disciplines
However, there’s one field that has stood the test of time and that has survived many other disciplines; that’s Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).
NLP provides insights into how we think and how we behave. Better still it incorporates ways to change those things when they’re not working the way we’d prefer.
A further advantage is that, with millions of NLP practitioners worldwide, it’s a continually expanding, developing field. mBIT (Multiple Brain Integration Techniques), for which I’m also a trainer and coach, is one such fascinating development. So, although NLP has been around since the mid-seventies, it is still leading-edge.
It also fits with most spiritual beliefs and practices – and helps explain quantum physics! (I know it might sound like Dr Feelgood’s Cure-All Medicine!)
I’ve always pursued interests that involve how the mind works and how people get along – or don’t get along. I love learning and I’m forever reading and researching all manner of things – but mainly around how we can live our best lives. This usually involves neuroscience, positive psychology or NLP (of course!).
I seem to have some inbred compulsion to share what I learn with others – as soon as possible!
Hence, I write a weekly blog or newsletter (I really don’t know the difference). In the crafting of each post I clarify things for myself – and hopefully for you as well. I like to add my own form of zany humour because life’s too short to be serious all the time. So don’t expect seriousness – I’ve already embraced my inner weirdo.
I enjoy studying aspects of spirituality and unconventional stuff like metaphysics, creative visualisation and quantum physics. I’m still trying to understand quantum physics, but I’ve read somewhere that if you think you understand quantum physics, then you’ve completely missed something. That makes me feel a little calmer about all there is to learn.
I’m not really into ‘fluff’ and training ‘hype’
I love training NLP because it’s so practical. It gives people the opportunity to explore what drives them and others, and the tools to effect change at the deepest levels. Each training course or coaching session provides me with more profound insights into the human psyche – and more material to write about. I know I’m making a difference in the world and the testimonials received from the people I train, coach or speak to confirm that.
If you’d like me to share my latest learnings with you, all you have to do is subscribe to my newsletter. It’s pretty good really. But you don’t have to take my word for it, read what others think and then sign up.
The laid-back lifestyle and wonderful sense of community in Raglan have won my heart. When I’m not training, writing or coaching you can find me at one of the local cafes socialising with friends. Morning and evening I’ll be walking my dog Ragz on the beach while telling jokes and laughing with anyone who joins me.
I have a beautiful relationship with a very naughty parrot who has an obsession with sticks. He adores me but loves biting unsuspecting visitors and laughing while they bleed! (He has a cage and although I always warn people to keep their fingers away from his cage, Shaggy always seems to con them by pretending to be fluffy and cuddly).
‘Girls Night In’ is a frequent event at my place with a movie, dinner and plenty of laughs. On the more serious side I’m involved with several Raglan organisations, all of which contribute to developing the community, fostering a sense of belonging and to guardianship through the best use and re-use of renewable resources. Yes, I love it here and I’m sure you’ll fall in love with Raglan too.
